Since moving to Doha in 2018, I first taught in Year 1 for three years before moving to teach in Year 5 as the Team Leader for both Year 5 and 6. I am from Ireland - I love travelling the world and experiencing new cultures. As well as being a fully qualified primary teacher from England with QTS and PGCE certification, I am a master’s graduate from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I have been teaching for five years, with experience throughout primary school, extending up to secondary school teaching Year 7 and 8 physics. In addition to working as a primary school teacher, I am the science leader in school. I love being able to utilise all of the fantastic and sophisticated facilities at USI to deliver outstanding, invigorating science lessons and experiments.

I worked for ten years in Primary and Middle schools in the north-east of England and on the Isle of Wight. I have had a previous short experience of teaching here in Qatar, but before back her last year I was at an Orbital School, EIS Moscow, where I taught in Year 5 for 3 years. Whilst I have a strong background in education I have also acquired life and work experiences in other sectors such as retail and travel. However, I have really enjoyed returning to Qatar to continue teaching in an international environment and in such a beautiful school!
