United School International, a new British Curriculum School on the Pearl in Doha, Qatar, opened its doors to students for the first time on 16 August 2022, and welcomed over 500 excited children into their classrooms.
For the 2022-23 academic year, USI is enrolling students from FS1 (aged 3) to Year 9 (aged 14). Eventually the school will cater for students all the way to graduation in Year 13, and will have a capacity of over 2,500 students. The school is located in one of Doha’s most prestigious locations and promises to be a true community school for the residents of the Pearl and beyond.
USI’s ethos rests on four core principles: kindness, respect, a passion for learning and the pursuit of excellence. The school prides itself on the ambitious education its staff will deliver. Children will feel secure and confident, supported and understood and to be able to turn to those around them for guidance and encouragement.
USI’s students are at the heart of everything, whilst the school’s teachers support them on their journey through an enhanced British curriculum to deliver an outstanding international education.
Ian Temple, USI’s Executive Principal said:
“After all the work involved in preparing the school for its opening, it was so rewarding to see the happy and excited faces of the children and their parents walking through the doors. Our teachers are delighted to be embarking on this journey with our founding students, and are ready to get to know the children, to challenge them, help them to feel welcome and secure, and to provide them with an education of the highest quality.”
