On 25th November, USI held an open evening for students entering Year 10 next academic year.

The event provided an opportunity for students and their parents to learn more about the IGCSE programme, and to speak to teachers and current Year 10 & 11 students about all of the different IGCSE subjects on offer.

Mrs Day gave a presentation in the auditorium that provided an overview of the IGCSE programme, before parents then had the chance to browse the stands for each subject. It was great to see so many of our current Year 9 students and their parents at the event, as well as some new families who are considering joining USI next year.

It was also fantastic to see the enthusiastic contribution of our current Year 10 & 11 students, who supported the teachers in preparing the stands and speaking with families. There is nothing more valuable for a student who is preparing to choose their IGCSE subjects than speaking with students who are actually studying those subjects. We are extremely proud of their contribution.

The Open Evening coincided with the publication of our new IGCSE Prospectus for the 2025-26 academic year. The prospectus can be viewed online here - or you can pick up a printed copy from school.
