On 21st August the IGCSE results were released, and last year’s Y11 students finally discovered if all of their hard work had paid off.

We’re delighted to say that it definitely did!

Here are some headlines from USI’s first ever set of IGCSE results:

  • Overall Pass Rate – 99%
  • 76% of students achieved at least one Grade 7-9 (A-A*)
  • 86% of students achieved at least one Grade 6-9 (B-A*)

When we look at specific subjects, there are some equally impressive results:

Percentage of students achieving Grade 7 or above (equivalent to A to A*):

  • French: 75%
  • Spanish: 57%
  • Physics: 54%
  • English: 45%
  • Maths: 43%

Percentage of students achieving Grade 5 or above (equivalent to B to A*):

  • Biology: 100%
  • French: 100%
  • English Language: 91%
  • English Literature: 87%
  • Physics: 85%
  • Design & Technology: 82%

We are delighted to say that 100% of our Year 11 students have been offered places in our inaugural Sixth Form.
