Design and Technology Technician

The Opportunity

The role is due to start from August 2024.

Primary Duties

• To assist and support all teaching staff in providing pupils at USI with effective experience in Design and Technology and ensure high levels of achievement. Technicians play a crucial role by independently organising and managing their duties outlined in the job description below.

Person Specification

In particular, candidates should meet the following technical profile:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Understanding of Design and Technology equipment
• Able to follow strict procedures
• Demonstrates high levels of honesty and integrity.
• Previous experience working as lab technician – school setting preferred
• Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances
• Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
• Confident working alone, as well as part of a wider team.
• Sets and maintains high standards.

In addition, the personal qualities we are looking for include:

• Proactive, enthusiastic, ambitious and energetic person.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Hard working, self-motivated, pro-active and flexible

About the School

United School International is on the prestigious Pearl Development in Doha, Qatar, a residential development reclaimed from the Arabian Gulf.
