I am a passionate Geography teacher and experienced subject leader from Ireland. I have four years of experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Geography in Liverpool and Doha. I take pride in creating engaging lessons that inspire curiosity about the world. With a love for travel, I enjoy sharing my experiences, making Geography come alive in the classroom. I'm excited to join the USI team and continue to nurture young minds.

I am a very passionate teacher with 14 years of experience teaching and leading ICT, Business, Digital Media and Computer Science at KS3, 4 and 5. Outside of school I am a practising artist. I have painted a public mural in 5/6 Park, Doha and took part in Cass Art Qatar’s live painting event at the Doha Fire Station. I love working in a learning environment where rapid academic progression is facilitated by world-class educational facilities, and ambitious globally minded students and colleagues.

I’m an experienced educator with six years in the field, specialising in Computer Science. I’ve had the privilege of serving as Head of Computer Science in the UK and have also extended my expertise to the Middle East. My approach blends professional rigour with engaging teaching methods, making learning not just productive but enjoyable too. I look forward to welcoming the younger generation to the future of technology.

Having grown up in East London, I’ve experienced teaching at multiple academies around London. I later spent 18 months teaching drama in Dubai to international students, which was an incredible experience that I really enjoyed. As a head of department at my most recent school, I value the skills that drama can teach very highly, and continue to promote this at USI. Working at USI gives me the opportunity to build the foundations of the drama department together with our students.

I was educated at St Mary’s Music School in Edinburgh, and later graduated from The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester as an oboist. I have performed with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Orchestra do Algarve, UAE NSO Symphony Orchestra, Andrea Bocelli, and The Jacksons. As a teacher, I have taught both academic classroom music and specialist woodwind tuition at schools in the Gulf and the UK.

A highly motivated teacher with experience in primary, post-primary, bilingual and international education. I have several years’ experience teaching music, composing and performing. I work with students of all ages and levels and I have a creative and friendly style. I have experience playing classical, Irish traditional, pop and contemporary new compositions.

Having performed within a number of award winning choirs across Ireland, I began studying music education in my hometown of Limerick. Upon completing my degree, I arrived in Qatar to help foster a lifelong love of music in the next generation of musicians. My main instruments are vocals, guitar, ukulele and recorder.

From the age of 18 I made the commitment to become a teacher and decided to further my studies in the reputable St Mary's University College, Belfast. After qualifying in 2011, I taught in the UK for four years. I was employed as a progress leader and Head of House during this time but then moved over to Subject Leader in 2015 to better develop my subject focus.

I have been working in Qatar since 2015 as a Head of Design and Technology. Over my career I have taught from ages 6 to 18 and covered KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-level and International Baccalaureate. I strive to develop the skills of our students focusing on engineering principals that will help form a foundation for critical thinking and problem solving.

I am a creative, enthusiastic and organised Design and Technology Teacher. I have worked in schools across London, and since 2018, I have moved to Doha to teach in a British school. I strongly believe in the benefits of challenging students through combining practical and technological skills with creative thinking, to design and make products, enabling independent learners’ and enhancing life skills.

After completing my BA and PGCE, I taught for 7 years at a fantastic school in the UK, with an extra-curricular programme that was second to none. I have taught across all key stages as well as obtaining middle leadership roles along the way such as PiXL Edge and completing my school’s middle leadership programme. I completed my MA in Education alongside my teaching commitments, with emphasis on GCSE Physical Education. I love making great use of the exceptional, state-of-the-art, facilities that we have at USI, as well as helping to further develop this school in to an outstanding environment for all of our students and the wider community to thrive in.

I grew up, was educated and taught Physical Education in Scotland. I am experienced teaching a wide range of sports and activities, certificated & leadership courses, and leading extra-curricular activities. I love motivating and challenging young people to achieve their potential and aim to promote lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. Teaching at USI gives me the opportunity to share good practice with experienced staff and help shape the ethos of the school.

I am a passionate and driven educator and have previously taught both PE and GCSE Psychology in London and Qatar. I pride myself on my strong working relationships and rapport with my students. I have a great understanding of the importance of social, emotional and moral development in both PE and wider school life. As an experienced pastoral leader and Qatar National woman’s rugby player, I also know the importance of teamwork, resilience and ambition.

I am from a small town in County Armagh in Ireland. I have played a range of sports, but I am currently a member of the Qatar GAA team. I have previously been a primary school teacher alongside being PE Lead, so I am enjoying on having my sole focus on PE at USI.

I grew up in Northern Ireland. I started my career in Education as a Teaching Assistant, which sparked my interest in special educational needs. After completing my PGCE and teaching as a mainstream classroom teacher, I moved into the field of SEN. I have worked as an advisory teacher for children with Autism and a learning support teacher for children with a range of learning needs in mainstream schools. My passion is to provide opportunities for all students to realise their full potential, helping them overcome barriers to ensure they achieve.
