From the age of 18 I made the commitment to become a teacher and decided to further my studies in the reputable St Mary's University College, Belfast. After qualifying in 2011, I taught in the UK for four years. I was employed as a progress leader and Head of House during this time but then moved over to Subject Leader in 2015 to better develop my subject focus.

I have been working in Qatar since 2015 as a Head of Design and Technology. Over my career I have taught from ages 6 to 18 and covered KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-level and International Baccalaureate. I strive to develop the skills of our students focusing on engineering principals that will help form a foundation for critical thinking and problem solving.
