I am a Business Administration graduate with good organizational skills and an ability to build good working relationships with people. I am also CELTA certified. I am looking forward to the opportunity to be part of a committed team. I have a particular interest in working in a school that offers a culturally diverse environment and I know that this school is especially committed to promoting creative opportunities for children.

13 years' experience

I graduated from Leon Guinto Memorial College with a Bachelor of Secondary Major in English, and finished my Masters of Education Major in Administration and Supervision in Doha, through an external study program at the Technological University of the Philippines. My first teaching position spanned 11 years at a Philippine School in Doha as a pre-school teacher. I am looking forward to working in a school whose mission I firmly believe in.

10 years' experience

I’m originally from the Philippines, and graduated with a diploma in Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997. I have worked as a teaching assistant for almost 9 years in a British school here in Qatar. I have worked with KG , Year 1 and Year 2 students. I am looking forward to working with new colleagues, and meeting new students.

I have worked in care for 12 years, providing care for young adults and elderly people. I am a very approachable person and get a real joy from helping others. Delivering person centred care to a high standard has always been a big part of my role and I love having a positive impact on people's lives. I am excited to meet pupils, staff and parents from different cultures and build positive relationships. USI will give me the opportunity to use my caring experience and skills to support the needs of every child.

I was born and raised in India. I hold a degree in commerce from Katatiya University and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Andara University in India. Having teaching experience both in India and Qatar, I hold a total of 10 years working as a teacher and a teaching assistant. I am passionate about what I do, enthusiastic and love to be around children. I am looking forward to meeting new people, seeing the campus and working with new colleagues.

I obtained my degree in Information Systems at the University of Doha for Science and Technology. Before moving to USI, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for six years. I am very excited to be joining our new school and working with the team, and especially with the students.

20 years' experience

My academic background is in Classical Languages and Portuguese Studies, with additional teacher training from the University of Lisbon. My professional life has always revolved around two domains: education and research, and my main interests are languages, literature, and didactics. For the past twenty years, I have been working with learners of different ages and backgrounds in numerous schools and universities. Supporting all students in their individual learning paths has always been at the very core of my professional journey. I am really looking forward to helping children reach their full potential at USI.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Paediatric Nursing

Through the course of my career I have close to 20 years experience of working with children. I’ve covered many different roles as a paediatric nurse, including school nursing in my most recent post. I’ve run my own Mini Athletics franchise for children aged 3-8 years and worked as a special needs/general teaching assistant. I’m committed, hard working and passionate about child development.

I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work at USI, to be able to further continue my experience as a Teaching Assistant. I’m excited to meet my new colleagues and to work in the brand new fabulous facilities. Mostly though, I look forward to meeting the children and supporting them in settling into a shiny new environment and nurture lifelong friendships.

9 years’ experience as a Teaching Assistant

I obtained my degree in Computer Science at St. Paul University, and have since gained almost 10 years experience as a Teaching Assistant in the British Curriculum. I have worked with FS1 & FS2, as well as Year 1 & 2 students. I love my job and it makes me happy to see children develop and grow as individuals. I am looking forward to meeting new colleagues, a new team and being in a new environment at USI.

2 years' experience as a Nursery Teacher

I’m from Scotland in the UK. However, I’ve lived in Qatar for the past 3 years where I’ve worked as a Nursery Teacher. It is such an honour to be able to teach students and watch them develop. I’m most looking forward to making strong bonds with the children, parents and staff, as well as contributing to making USI the best school in Doha.

Experience

Two years’ experience as a teaching assistant and six years’ experience as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language

After studying at university, I worked as a book-keeper until 2016. When my daughters were born, I became interested in the subject of preparing children for school. I began reading books, articles and other sources of information about it, applying the knowledge collected in practice. Finally, I prepared my daughters for school, and I decided to continue working towards becoming a teacher, as I found it fascinating to educate other children. I like to work with children, to observe the process of children’s development. I want to investigate further and find more methods that would help shape children as kind and clever people.

7 Years’ Experience as a Teaching Assistant

I was born in Sri Lanka and I completed my primary education in English at OKI International School. I moved to Doha in 2014 where I worked as an assistant teacher (kindergarten / upper reception) teaching children between four and six years of age in classroom settings of up to 35 students.

My passion is to help and work with young children, developing and implementing activities that improve students’ learning and behavioral skills, as well as helping them to build confidence and resilience. I enjoy open communication with parents and administrators regarding the growth and well-being of those under my care.

I am excited to meet my new colleagues and students and start my new journey at united international school.

8 years experience as a Teaching Assistant

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for the past 8 years in a British school here in Qatar. Mainly I have worked with EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2. I am excited to be part of the learning journey of the children at USI.
