I am a Business Administration graduate with good organizational skills and an ability to build good working relationships with people. I am also CELTA certified. I am looking forward to the opportunity to be part of a committed team. I have a particular interest in working in a school that offers a culturally diverse environment and I know that this school is especially committed to promoting creative opportunities for children.

I graduated from Leon Guinto Memorial College with a Bachelor of Secondary Major in English, and finished my Masters of Education Major in Administration and Supervision in Doha, through an external study program at the Technological University of the Philippines. My first teaching position spanned 11 years at a Philippine School in Doha as a pre-school teacher.

11 years' experience

I’m originally from the Philippines, and graduated with a diploma in Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997. I have worked as a teaching assistant for 10 years in Qatar. I have worked with KG , Year 1 and Year 2 students.

I was born and raised in India. I hold a degree in commerce from Katatiya University and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Andara University in India. Having teaching experience both in India and Qatar, I hold a total of 11 years working as a teacher and a teaching assistant. I am passionate about what I do, enthusiastic and love to be around children.

8 Years’ Experience as a Teaching Assistant

I was born in Sri Lanka and I completed my primary education in English at OKI International School. I moved to Doha in 2014 where I worked as an assistant teacher (kindergarten / upper reception) teaching children between four and six years of age in classroom settings of up to 35 students.

My passion is to help and work with young children, developing and implementing activities that improve students’ learning and behavioral skills, as well as helping them to build confidence and resilience. I enjoy open communication with parents and administrators regarding the growth and well-being of those under my care.

24 years' experience

I started my career as a secondary biology teacher in India. After moving to Qatar, I joined a British primary school as a teaching assistant. Having more than 24 years of experience, majority of which were spent as lead EYFS TA, I am fully competent of independently managing the students to ensure productivity and confidence in the classroom. I have proven throughout my vast experience of teaching that I am able to develop effective and successful working relationships with school staff and students. I am passionate and perceptive towards the various needs of all the students and am able to collaborate with teachers and parents to assist in working towards the collective goal of student independence.

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics and completed my Master’s degree (MA Mathematics) at University of the Philippines in 2009 and 2016, respectively. Before moving to Qatar, I worked as a Mathematics instructor in the Philippines - two years in a learning centre and two years in a college. Here, I developed my skills in teaching and handling a class as well as working with individual students to help them enhance their Math skills. In Qatar, I have four years of experience working in an international school - one year as a Shadow Teacher for a year 9 student and three years as a Teaching Assistant in year 4.

With a decade of professional experience, including 8 years in EYFS and 2 years in EAL, ( FS1 & FS2, Year 1 up to Year 6), I am a dedicated teaching assistant. Combining a background in General Midwifery with a passion for fostering children's development, I aim to create an optimal learning environment. My commitment lies in nurturing their holistic growth through tailored support and creating a foundation for their future success.
