I discovered my passion for teaching and learning shortly after completing my Sociology degree from Covenant University in Nigeria. I joined a British school as a Teaching Assistant where I supported students with varying academic needs and was privileged to meet amazing mentors. I moved to Qatar five years ago to continue working as a teacher and I have been privileged to work in reputable British schools, supporting students and those with additional learning needs whilst contributing to the achievement of the school's goals.

Degree in Midwifery

11 years' experience as a Teaching Assistant

With a decade of professional experience, including 8 years in EYFS and 2 years in EAL, ( FS1 & FS2, Year 1 up to Year 6), I am a dedicated teaching assistant. Combining a background in General Midwifery with a passion for fostering children's development, I aim to create an optimal learning environment. My commitment lies in nurturing their holistic growth through tailored support and creating a foundation for their future success.

CACHE level 3 NVQ in Children's care, learning and development

I have worked in education for over 20 years as a nursery nurse, a teaching assistant, and most recently an Inclusion support officer supporting SEND in Early years. I have a real passion for SEND and supporting children to reach their full potential. I am very much looking forward to meeting pupils, staff and parents at USI.

Bachelor in Elementary Education

16 years' experience

I have 16 years experience teaching Preschool and Upper Primary and I hold a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education from Philippines.

My teaching philosophy is that every child should be introduced to the tools they need to establish their own learning style. Because of how important technology is in our world, I believe that schools should be fun learning environments where aspirations and creativity flourish.

8 years’ experience

I was born in The Philippines and have lived in Qatar for 9 years. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in business administration Major in Management at the University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City Philippines. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant with FS1 and FS2 in the British Curriculum fully accredited by WASC in Qatar for almost 8 years.

I am delighted to meet our new class and support their development and learning through play. I have taught kindergarten for almost eight years and as much as the world has changed and continues to change, one thing does not. Children need caring adults who are invested in them and their learning. That is the only way to make this world better, to teach amazing little people who will grow up to be amazing big people.

Registered Behavior Technician

2 years' experience

In my previous position I led one-on-one behavior therapy sessions with students diagnosed with ASD and other disorders in order to improve various targeted behaviors. I also taught trumpet for the Conservatory of Music at Pinecrest Academy in Las Vegas, helping students to improve their musical skills and inspiring them to play their best while both practicing and performing.

I started my career in a language school in Sarajevo teaching English as a Second Language to groups of children and adults. I worked as an interpreter on international support projects before moving to Saudi Arabia to become cabin crew. Always willing to help, I enjoy creating a safe and welcoming environment where children can develop their full learning potential.

As a fresh graduate, I was fortunate to work part-time at USI in 2022, as a Teaching Assistant for Yr 1 & Yr 2. This helped me bond extremely well with the children and be sensitive to their needs. I am delighted to have the opportunity once again to work at USI and I look forward to meeting the children and working alongside the teacher to support them.
